On Wednesday evening, we packed up the car and headed to Kentucky. James' grandparents (mommom and daddad) graciously let us come down and spend a extra long weekend with them. We enjoyed the company, the lake, and many, many bowls of homemade ice cream. I probably will have to explain at my doctor's appt this week that the REASON I've gained like 10 lbs in two weeks is because I ate 2 bowls of homemade ice cream a day... :)
Amelia did great and was still captivated by the BIG flag that hangs in front of their house. She however had a little problem with the boat. Things were fine the first day when there was less traffic. Saturday, however, in much more choppy waters, she was a little scared. So, we didn't make her ride and Amelia and Mom-mom stayed behind to play in the sprinkler, count giraffes, and watch movies.
Amelia's obsession with flags ... we don't really get it and she walked around with this one most of the time.
Watching the waves with dad on the first day.
riding with dad
It took her awhile to decide she wanted to drive... then it took her awhile to stop honking the horn.
Taking a walk to find the baby deer
"driving" the gator
again, pointing out the big flag.
wearing Mom-mom's hat
besides the flag, her favorite thing was getting the feed the fish.
see? Dad-dad steps out to get some gas before we head out and his seat is taken... to honk the horn.
