Saturday we celebrated Amelia's first birthday! Can't believe it's been a year... but so blessed by our happy, healthy, crazy little girl, who by the way is not so little. We had lots of family over to celebrate with food, cake, and the whole thing. I think Amelia's favorite part was playing with her balloons and eating her favorite: strawberries.
Our theme was simple: COLORS. We decided our bright, energetic girl deserved a bright party.
So there were lots of decorations and balloons
here's the sign...
I tried to make to food stick to the "color" plan. We had salsa, guacamole, and chorizo queso with BLUE chips. Here we have the fondue: all different color fruits and such with BLUE chocolate!
Amelia loves pianos... so Mommy and Daddy got her one of her own!
The cake! (Amelia had her own to destroy)
I'm not gonna lie.... I am pretty impressed with myself for this one.
6 different color layers... mmm.
Singing... Bug Bite loving it.
The destruction I mentioned earlier.
Afterwards, we, of course, had to go swimming.
It was a fun day and we successfully wore her out. She did miss Mommom and Daddad, Mams and Paps (great-grandparents) and Uncle Lukey, but thoroughly enjoyed all the attention, all the sugar, and all the presents. Looking forward to seeing what God has in store for her (and us) this next year....
