Our Weekend ... in pictures.

What a crazy weekend ... running from one thing to the next. Thankfully, we had some relaxing time in there. I figured a picture description would be more enjoyable than just my typing ... so here you go... we will start with Thursday:

Bug and I had a good day playing around.

Than, later that night, we went out to dinner to celebrate.

Friday, I babysat my niece and nephew all day. It was pure craziness.

Then we went to Michael's Graduation. Here he is giving his speech.

After swifting through the crowd, we were able to get a picture.

Saturday was the open house.

Where Amelia got to meet her cousin, Olivia

Sunday came and after a long morning teaching at church, we went back to the pool for the second time this weekend.

Bug loving to splash.

We had a good but full weekend. So thankful we have Monday to hang around and relax before the next week of craziness arrives.

My Husband

This is a very special time of year for us. Celebration after celebration. Our Anniversary is coming up... next week. Followed by Father's Day a week later. and Today is my husband's birthday. He barely remembers when it is ... or what exactly his age is (not sure if that's cause sometimes he acts like a 10 year old and other times, 65). But I love celebrating birthdays, especially his. I like to make things last all week, so our menu this week has featured his favorite meals, I've made one of his favorite cakes earlier this week so we could snack every night on it. and I'm never good at waiting to give gifts if I already have them. So, he got to open presents last night. Tonight we get to go out, childless, and celebrate together ... Celebrate him.

I have known him since ... what? his 6th grade year. I knew almost immediately that I wanted to know him. And that was just the beginning. Here we are years later and I am so thankful for him... for the husband he is, for the friend, provider, partner, father... he is. He has been and continues to be my lighthouse, for his brilliance, his guidance, his strength and stability. I love you, James. Thank you for being mine.

Summer Lovin'

It went from feeling like the middle of March to the middle of July in one day. Almost forgot what the sun felt like in those 2 straight weeks of nothing but clouds. I have a feeling this summer is going to go by fast with all we have going on, in the meantime, we are much enjoying the sun! This weekend we broke out Amelia's new pool. Its good to know that she could spend hours just splashing and bouncing in this so we can enjoy to blazing summer.

Just a few pictures from this week:

Meals laughing

As if there wasn't enough grass IN the pool...

playing or avoiding her cousins?

New things

Amelia is 10 months old... tomorrow, days away from walking, climbing on everything, and is growing and changing and doing new things all the time.

I'm not sure if she knows that I'm "momma momma" yet but she does know when she says it, she gets my attention.

She waves all the time now which turns out to be one of the cutest things ever.

She loves telling people what cows say... and she is becoming more playful and interactive than ever.

And still no teeth :)

Mother's Day

It was a good first Mother's Day for me. The Lord has truly blessed me and I absolutely love this opportunity given to me to be a mother for Amelia. This morning we had a parent-child dedication service at church. My parents and younger sister as well as James' parents and brothers were able to be there. We hope and pray that through prayer and the grace of God, Amelia will one day know Christ as her own. We are so grateful for our family and friends who have come along side us.

ready to go church...
